Defending Club Champion Charlie Rowbottom has rounded out another impressive AFLW season as Runner-Up in the 2023 SUNS AFLW Club Champion.

It’s the 20-year-old’s third successive top-two finish in as many seasons in the competition who also claimed maiden All-Australian honours in 2023.

Despite missing the final two games of the season through injury, the dominant midfielder was never outside the top-two throughout the count.

In her nine games, Rowbottom led the league for contested possessions (17.3 per game) as well averaging 7.1 clearances (second in the AFLW), 9.7 tackles per game (3rd in the AFLW) and 26.8 disposals (sixth in the AFLW).

She also finished equal-10th in the Coaches’ Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year award.

Her finest display of the season came in Round 2 in which she recorded 33 disposals, 16 clearances and 10 tackles.
