The GC SUNS can provide updates on several players in this week’s Qscan Injury Update ahead of Saturday’s clash against Hawthorn.

A decision on captain Noah Anderson’s availability will be made closer to game day as he continues to recover from surgery to remove his appendix last week.

“Noah’s operation was successful and he is recovering well, however we will need to wait until closer to the weekend to determine if he’ll be available for selection this weekend,” GC SUNS Head Physiotherapist Andrew Weller said.

Jy Farrar has commenced a rehabilitation plan following ankle surgery early last week. The 29-year-old will be sidelined long-term.

First-year defender Avery Thomas will also be sidelined in the short-term after sustaining an AC joint injury in the VFL on Saturday.
